Bryn Morfydd Lodges Privacy Policy

In order to provide the best service we can and make our web presence as relevant as possible to those interested or potentially interested in our holiday park, we may collect and use personal information. This Privacy Policy and other documents referred to within it, provides information on when and why we collect any personal information, how it is used, how we may share it with others and how it is kept secure. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your rights or how we use your data by emailing hello@brynmorfydd.com

  • We will only contact you in relation to our holiday park and provide advice on how you can make the most of your experience at our park.
  • We will never sell your data.
  • We will store any data that we hold on you securely.
  • We will respect your requests to opt-out and or delete your data.
  • We may update this Policy from time to time. Details of the date this Policy was last updated can be found at the bottom of the page.

We have a legal duty to protect information we collect under legislation such as the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. The legislation sets out a number of reasons for which a company may collect and process data.

We collect, use and share data:

  • to fulfil our contractual obligations to you
  • consistent with your consent, which you may revoke at any time through updating your profile
  • as necessary for our (or other’s) legitimate business interests, including our interests in providing an innovative, personalised and profitable service to you and others, unless those interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms that require protection of personal data
  • as necessary in the public interest
  • as necessary to comply with our legal obligations

The legal basis for which we collect, and process data is detailed below.

To fulfil our contractual obligations to you

  • Delivering services you request. We won’t be able to fulfil our contract with you or comply with our legal obligations without collecting your personal data.
  • Personalising your experience
  • Communicating with you
  • Sharing with vendors and service providers

Your consent

  • marketing communications and newsletters
  • transfer, transmit, store or process your data outside the EEA for marketing purposes

Improving the efficiency of our marketing and advertising and sharing with advertising (and analytics) partners. (We offer a “catch-all opt-in” approach and an opt-in approach through Cookiebot rather than a longer, more interruptive and explicit approach to gaining your consent. The justification for this is that we minimise the impact to you by only using networks that gain your consent before they show you targeted adverts and offer opt-outs (e.g. Google and Meta), process the data in ways that do not give us further personal data about you and control the number of times you may see our adverts to prevent unreasonable irritation.

Our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, not outweighed by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms

  • Statistical purposes
  • Sharing/transferring to any potential new owner of the business
  • Compliance with a legal obligation
  • Data for legal purposes
  • Product research and development (justification: collecting the data and then processing the data anonymously or pseudo anonymously does not interrupt you (unless you consent) or take away from the experience of using our services but provides significant potential benefit to us you and future customers)
  • Non-financial third party services on our website (Justification: although many of these services provide part of our overall service for your direct benefit, we realise that data is collected about you by these third parties. We believe the price of that is massively outweighed by the cost savings in not developing the services ourselves and indeed, even if we did, there are potentially other advantages to you from us doing this (e.g. it could help YouTube provide better video recommendations to you if you are a registered user)
  • Tasks carried out in the public interest
  • Providing anonymous but public data to the holiday industry and other public bodies
